The Order of the Phoenix is fighting for peace, and yet, it is the muggles that they have decided to save. Muggles, a pathetic and useless species, and yet, it is the reason that the Wizarding world is divided. We hide from them, we live in a secret society that they must never know about. Why? If your dear muggles are worth risking your lives to fight us, why don't you have regular contact with them?

The answer should be clear, even to fools.

Muggles hate us. They hate all of wizardkind. Remember if you will the Salem Witch Trials. They were pleased with what they thought was genocide of the magic folk, even though they have no power whatsoever over us to fight. They are but insignificant dogs. So why do we hide from them? In the name of peace? With muggles, there is no peace - only a web of lies.

If muggles were completely erased, including their children who by the twisted hand of fate became wizards (for, as we know, the wizarding gene is recessive - to remove wizards of completely muggle parentage would greatly reduce the dominant non-magic gene, greatly reducing the number of squibs to be born) - We would have so much room for advancement. Too much of our energy is spent developing new and interesting ways of hiding from these pitiable enemies. If we no longer had this diversion, think of the Renaissance of Magic that would awaken!
